LifeAbility Talks are fun, free, interactive discussions designed to strengthen the abilities of self-advocates with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The talks are led by experienced self-advocates who cover topics that promote more independent, satisfying lives. Oh, and they’re also really fun!
Past topics include:
- Communication - Learn how to get more out of life through good communication.
- Being Safe in the Community - Build your confidence being out in the community and avoid being the target of a crime.
- Health & Wellness - Is good health all granola and no fun? Not at The Arc!

LifeAbility Talk: Entertainment
Movies, music, performing arts, books, concerts--they are all types of entertainment that enrich our lives and nourish our souls. Sometimes we forget just how much entertainment is accessible to all of us. Join us on Wednesday, April 25th from 10:30 – 12:30 at The Arc for a LifeAbility Talk that is all about accessing entertainment that provides joy and brings us together.
Our friend, Kelly Duran, from the Jeffco Public Library will be there to talk about all the types of entertainment that are available and accessible for free through the library. You will be surprised how much they have to offer! Lunch will be provided afterward.
If you would like to join us for a fun and enriching morning, and to share your ideas about entertainment, please RSVP to Valerie at 303-232-1338 or email@example.com.
