Make all of the introductions structurally similar: E&F, Adults, Transition

The transition to adulthood is full of changes and questions as youth strive to establish their independence while still growing their skills. Youth with disabilities need to begin taking a more active role in shaping their lives; and parents and caregivers need guidance to help their young adult succeed.

Thankfully, The Arc is here to help.

If you've completed public school and are between the ages of 18 and 35, The Arc's transition advocate can provide assistance to both individuals and family members with a variety of concerns.

There are two levels of advocacy assistance:

  • Information & Referral for those needs that can be addressed through information-sharing or connecting with other resources.
  • Active Support for those in need of more intensive intervention or ongoing assistance.
