Life After High School
FREE Workshops for Youth with Disabilities (ages 15-21), Their Families, and Caregivers

Do you have questions about transition? Wondering what transition is? Who can help with employment, post-secondary education, and life skills? How do we help our students discover what they want to do when they graduate? Life After High School is a series of evening workshops designed to answer all of these questions and is co-sponsored by the district, The Arc – Jefferson, Clear Creek & Gilpin Counties, and is supported through DDRC funding (Developmental Disabilites Resource Center).
Each presentation focuses on a different aspect of transition, related to the IEP, Career and Employment, Post-Secondary Education, Self- Determination, and Community and Agency Resources and Eligibility. The 90 minute sessions included a formal presentation, as well as presenters with background in the particular topic. Youth voice is critical to each presentation, and a young adult with an IEP is part of each evening's activities, with questions and remarks related to their personal experiences.
These sessions are FREE and no registration is required .
