Director of Adult Advocacy

At The Arc, your person-centered values and skills will be put to use in many ways. 

You’ll join our collaborative Advocacy Team, supporting adults with IDD and appropriately involved family members/guardians to grow advocacy skills and help resolve challenges.  

Some of the ways you’ll do this are through:

  • supporting individuals with IDD to understand their rights and their options
  • creating and delivering proactive education and training
  • influencing systemic change through involvement in committees and other groups
  • working to change perceptions of people with IDD in our community
  • sharing your knowledge and experience through mentoring and supervising others
  • support Adult Advocates to grow and strengthen their advocacy skills through leadership, management, and coaching (LMC)

This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary of $60-62K and excellent benefits, including 100% paid health insurance for the employee and paid time off when The Arc is closed between 12/25 and 1/1 each year. All positions at The Arc are approximately 80% remote. Spanish language and cultural competency preferred.
