Marketing & Communications Specialist

Are you a nimble wordsmith who wants to make a difference in our community? Does crafting a punchy headline bring you joy? Join our dynamic Communications & Engagement team at The Arc—Jefferson, Clear Creek & Gilpin Counties and play a pivotal role in advancing our mission.

This position is perfect for you if:

You’ll actively support changing people’s misperceptions about children and adults with IDD by focusing on abilities and fighting stereotypes.

Some of the ways you’ll do this are through:

  • Identifying topics and developing content for our weekly email communications
  • Developing moving stories about people in our community that will be shared as articles, through video and as speeches
  • Developing other copy for our website, social media and other channels, often in collaboration with subject matter experts on more specialized topics
  • Supporting the content planning and filming of video projects
