We’re exploring something new for our full community!
Picture a first-rate, universally designed 18-hole mini-golf experience—with indoor and outdoor play, a café and mocktail bar, and an experience intentionally created for people of all ages and abilities to play together.
A place designed for everyone
This hybrid indoor-outdoor experience will provide a new year-round destination, ideal for family outings, school trips, sober hangouts, birthday parties, summer camps, teen dates, corporate events, senior recreation, and more.
Our new venture will
- Create a “third space” destination with staying power: part recreation venue, part gathering place, and part community hub
- Offer an easy-to-enjoy activity that works across generations, abilities, and experience levels
- Showcase a new model for inclusive recreation and employment that others can learn from and replicate
- Demonstrate that inclusive design can also be great business!
Why The Arc?
We promote and protect the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We’re exploring this social enterprise as a new way to advance inclusion, bring our community together, and generate sustainable revenue to support our mission.
What’s in Progress
Right now, we’re validating preliminary research and business model assumptions and working with our Board of Directors and others to define our path forward.
We’re also meeting with community members, businesses, designers, golf professionals, municipalities, and accessibility experts to learn what will make this the ultimate community asset.
