Our Transformative Partner
For our 2021 fiscal year
For well over a decade, FirstBank has made an annual contribution to support The Arc’s work to improve the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
This year, in recognition of an increased financial investment, we are proud to name FirstBank as our inaugural Transformative Partner. Our expanded, year-long relationship is especially critical as we navigate the challenges of the current times. It is a true reflection of FirstBank’s commitment to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community and will help ensure that their needs are met.
FirstBank supports diversity, equity and inclusion within and outside of its organization. For starters, nearly 40 percent of the bank’s employee population represent different races, ethnicities, military statuses and disabilities, enabling FirstBank to exceed the Colorado Census Bureau on every measure of diversity. The company believes that a diverse workforce cultivates growth, drives innovation and enhances job satisfaction.
Since 2000, FirstBank has been recognized as a leader in corporate philanthropy, contributing nearly $70 million and thousands of volunteer hours to charitable organizations, many of which are organizations that help advance individuals with disabilities, including The Arc. The company also provides its 3,000 employees two days of PTO to support organizations they’re passionate about, and a majority of FirstBank’s Officers serve with multiple nonprofits, most at the board level. This is at the center of the bank’s “banking for good” philosophy, which guides the company’s actions to do right by customers, communities and employees.
The Arc is deeply grateful for FirstBank’s partnership and look forward to sharing news about what our collaboration makes possible during the next twelve months. Please join us in thanking everyone at FirstBank, for believing in The Arc, and for believing in people with disabilities!
