Jefferson County offers seven recreational districts with opportunities for people of all levels of ability. Some classes and activities are tailored for persons with special needs. Many recreation districts may also provide you with information regarding summer opportunities for your child. We encourage you to become familiar with adaptive sports, team sports, hobbies, and volunteer opportunities within your community as these programs are invaluable for meeting others with similar interests and helping those with disabilities expand their social lives.
